In this series, we follow people who are turning lemons into lemonade, using their resources to help others in the face of COVID-19. At Potluck, we want to give back by shining a spotlight on these teams and thanking them for their good work. The Rhine Hall team has kept their team busy by distilling beer for hand sanitizer while adapting to virtual cocktail classes and front door bottle sales to keep the lights on.

Episode Four: XFI Makes Fundraising Delicious
Chefs Zed Aer and Rafa Esparza from Finom teamed up to create ZXFI, driven by a shared desire to help people without safety nets. Over the last couple months their cookies, cakes, and other delicious desserts have helped raise funds for Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, Navajo Water Project, and the Chicago Community Bond Fund.

Episode Five: Justice of the Pies Feeds the Front Line
With farmer's markets and festivals shut down for summer, chef Maya-Camille Broussard of Justice of the Pies has pivoted to feeding doctors and nurses on the front line while offering online cooking classes to keep her business going.

Episode Six: Stock MFG Makes Face Masks
After restaurants and bars closed in Chicago, custom workwear maker Stock MFG turned their fabric supply into face masks with proceeds going to help hourly hospitality workers.

Episode Seven: Baker Miller Feeds Others
Baker Miller co-owner Dave Miller discusses how he and his wife, co-owner Megan Miller, have pivoted in the wake of Chicago's restaurant shutdown. He credits their team with helping them survive and even thrive. One of the more inspirational pivots they've made in the last few months has been donating time and meals to others.
