Watching local businesses we love grow always makes us happy, but being a part of their success is an even better feeling. That’s why we were so excited and honored to shoot photography for Hopewell Brewing, which has quickly become one of Chicago’s best breweries and a Logan Square staple.
We first met Jonathan, Samantha, and Stephen of Hopewell Brewing at a Good Beer Hunting event back in 2015 when the brewery didn't exist, but we were blown away by their passion and knowledge. A couple years later, we met again at a videoshoot for Metric Brewing. Our teams clicked and we were so excited when Hopewell reached out to book us for some product and team photography.
During pre-production, we were struck by the fact that while Hopewell's space and brand collateral is minimal and high-design, their beer and POV is extremely down-to-earth and approachable. When designing a concept for the photoshoot, we wanted to draw attention to this dichotomy and show how Hopewell brews beer for everyone. The result is clean and simple stills with grit and heart that make it easy for viewers to imagine themselves in the Hopewell space.
